Of course there are going to be protesters.

Many people protesting to be real estate investors aren't and often get away with it because they assigned/wholesaled a property or two for profit so they figure they've won the title.

Then they used lowball comps, which I had to protest (you only get 1 protest), and I did not want to spend the $$$ on a formal appraisal, which is an option if you so desire.Here's the kicker, the XOME number on their site, because they are trying to be like Zillow with an estimate, was much higher than what I got from the XOME appraiser.

I use to be a "protester" and mail in a big stack of paper.   

I received a call today and they have once again delayed closing due to the current riots and protests!

They just want to keep the money train rolling.So the end strategy is that you've got to be INCREDIBLY careful in how you invest...you've got to understand how to protest your tax rate...how to go in front of the board of review, how to make your case, how to appeal the new assessment.  

My 2 cents - If I were a criminal and I saw a sign that said "Gun Free Zone", I would read it as "Unarmed Victims Live Here".
