I would suggest look for a property management company to manage the property for you and slowly increase the rent yearly before selling.

My concern is this may be considered retaliation, but really its just that all these people are wearing the property down.

Not sure if your property is in that area as you are a bit West.

I walked to the house and met a man who says he was cleaning out due to the loss of their mother in some few weeks back.The guy told me she is  left with 12 years mortgage on the property to pay the bank.

There's a map of all the properties listed on that site.  

Whether it be cleaning their properties or doing manual labor.

You were not afforded a reasonable (in most states, 30 days) amount of notice to re-market your property. 

I asked her how many properties she has bought and was shocked to learn..
