What do you recommend is the best course of action?

It sounds like you've taken steps toward education, but now it is time to take action. 

My advise is to get as close to seeing the PMs side of the situation as you can before you take any action against them.

It may require court action on current holder but really that isn't any big deal.

Show me your actions match your words.  

However, we’re concerned about its current condition and whether we can sell it for a reasonable price.I’m looking for advice from experienced investors on the best course of action to minimize our losses.

So while it might seem immoral to push them out, your action supports the system that has lifted more people out of poverty at a rate never seen before in human history.

But every chance I get, I want to find ways to look at the impacts our actions and conversations have on the industry over the next 5-10 years as a whole.

You want to add some action, some progress, some EXCITEMENT!  

I don't think your post will get much action but you being involved in the group and answering questions can get you noticed.
