If you design it right, furnish it right, and take great photos, then it's almost sure to outperform other homes in the immediate area (this is assuming that it is outfitted with modern amenities like power, sewer, water, air conditioning, etc)I've talked with several contractors over the years about doing something similar.

My experience, and I have vast experience in this industry, is that the only people that can make the numbers make sense are commercial outfits (i.e. nurseries, golf courses) or large-scale housing projects that have a lot of grounds to water.

The only problem I have is in BC , Alberta , and Saskatchewan I have had an interest in Purchasing a Hunting / Fishing / Lodge / Outfitting Business on a few occasions and now as my facing Retirement and wanting to again do such I have been told by 3 seperate RE Brokers that because I am NOT a Canadian Citizen that is NOT possible to do .How does that affect my ability to Invest in any Canadian Business such as SFH or Multi's ?
