I think what they’re envisioning is you taking on some massive rehab project that will overwhelm you with your already demanding job.

@Nicole Frawley Hi Nicole, I think discrimination should be a later issue, if at all, as the upfront payment is a massive red flag on its own. 

I house-hacked my way in with a triplex and still think it's a great way to start, but don't expect much/any cash flow without a massive down payment.

I see so many borrowers hobble themselves by paying cash and sinking massive amounts of capital into DEAD EQUITY!   

Just takes massive time and advertising dollars.

I have tons of respect and admiration for you taking massive action straight out of college and diving into the real estate game!
