The feed is a 12g ran underground presumably in conduit to a manual Westinghouse disconnect and connects to the pump with an older style 3 prong twist lock connector.

Hi @Dave Foster, I am in a similar situation with a twist and have some add-on questions so I thought I'd add a reply here. 

I would advise again trying to force them into anything because usually that does not have the best reaction. more like a gentle push.

Nobody twisted your arm to rent out 3-grand-plus units and think of yourself as occupying a long-term viable market segment.

In fact — and here’s the twist — it was Taix’s own idea to remake the site into a new, large, mixed-use development, with housing on top floors and room for a smaller, more profitable restaurant on the ground floor.

And even if you can twist the language, if the board doesn't like it they're just going to change the rules to explicitly ban it.  

I always thought that was a good idea when I rented my first place but certainly don't let me twist your decisions into making it mandatory.You may just realize that it could chase away some possible tenants.
