It’s a massive financial gain being that rentals in this area are priced sky high and if we ever go to sell, that adds a massive gain to the equation with the current median pricing at $494 per square foot.

In normal circumstances it is not legal to shut off the power to force out a tenant but if it can be demonstrated that you must do so for safety, then that changes the equation (although I would consult an attorney before taking that step--I'm not an attorney and don't know the laws of your state.

Problem is, you hold the debt long enough that the interest rate eats up any of the rewards and you end up using those points to hack at the outstanding balance.It's all an equation.

We have mainly invested in buy and hold MF rental properties.After analyzing the area it seems like most of the rentals in this area are SF.With Texas being so vast and flat I can understand why there's constant development.Factor in the major influx in the state and that equates to even more future growth.

I know there are a lot of ways to write off money thru real-estate however my accountant explained you can only write off whatever equates to your real-estate income plus a little bit from more complicated terms they explained, but nothing to the amounts i need.
