My wife and I own a townhouse in Calvert county but we're looking to purchase a row home in Ridgley's Delight/Pigtown area, as my wife has recently opened a boutique in downtown Baltimore.Our plan is to purchase a 3 br owner occupied rental and rent out the other two rooms, preferably to medical professionals/residents from UMMC. 

There are may groups and types of applicants that I will not ever consider renting to because they pose a higher risk to my business interests.However I have never and will never cave to extortion or consider bribery as a bases for any business practice.

I was thinking maybe they're just trying to rattle me a bit to see if I'll cave but you never know. 

But find a way to do it without appearing to cave to her demands....

While lien rights are important for the protection of contractors, subs and suppliers......No one should ever cave in to the extortion tactics of a scumbag contractor, not saying that is necessarily the case here.
