We are looking to build a small (800-1000 sqft) STR / vacation home in the next 12-24 months.

Hi BP Community,I recently purchased what I thought would be a vacation home for us in San Diego, but instead deciding to convert it to a rental.

My wife and I own a vacation home in Texas and are renting in our primary residence.

The registration must be renewed annually.The vacation rental unit must be inspected for compliance with all local and state codes.

This forced appreciation with a heavy value-add should be great with a long term buy & hold play.2) Cash out refi & purchase a vacation home via a 2nd home loan. 

As a general rule, it seems that places that were vacation destinations before OTAs are better represented on VRBO, while mid- and large-cities tend to have more options on AirBnb.

I had to abandon a vacation and come here to oversee this and clean up her mess. 

I have a rental property out of state and will be renovating after the tenant vacates this year.

When these homes get listed, we get photos and the 'dream of owning your own vacation home' So we have to start with price & location..if those both meet the criteria, then we hone in on weather we want one that has not been taken care of and likely not generating enough income to cover expenses or one that is fully themed and likely will continue to do well if all else stays the same.

The unit I want to occupy has 3 people living in it, when is it safe to give them a notice to vacate and does anyone have a template for this?
