Boric Acid (which is in powder form) works well, spread under appliances; under new base cabinets at install; in the wall voids whenever you open a wall for repair; under carpet pads and around the perimeter of rooms before base trim goes on; inside base cabinets toward the very back; and other fairly inaccessible and dark places you can find.

Also, I now leave a bottle of that indoor/outdoor safe-for-kids-and-pets insect spray that's supposed to stop bugs for months but usually needs more frequent applications, and tell them they can spray around the perimeter if they want to when it starts getting warm outside and the bugs start showing up and that it should last them all season.

@Catherine Decker - I'd check with an actual lawyer before doing anything, but my gut instinct if they refused to respect my vacant property would be to escalate it by giving them written notice and tossing a chain link fence up around the perimeter.

That was when I was able to check on the when I was given notice.The fact that I have cameras around the perimeter is actually a great thing because it looks like a number of people are coming to me because things can be recorded.And I did contact my eviction company and that is why I am doing 60 days notice.
