For the dishwasher, I believe there are inserts you can get (if you want) for the door panel.

Any lead for a general contractor reliable company will be appreciated (needs a door inserted in one of her house wall's facing the backyard).

From a building owner point of view, I wouldn't do it unless there were financial advantages, because I can envision a whole list of cons:court injunctions preventing you from emptying the building to do something with itlawsuits by the advocacy and others because of [insert issue here]insurance considerationsgeneral lack of oversight and lawlessnessETCIf I owned a building, the only way I would do this is if the building was junk anyway, some third party was leasing it from me, and I was legally absolved of any responsibility whatsoever in the operation.

I would also check to see if there are any deed restrictions...there may be something weird the builder inserted about this issue...Aside from that you could make a pitch to buy their property then bulldoze it ;) We're actually going through something similar with a rural project...Good luck!
