I ended up taking up all the real oak wood floors that were damaged from an air condition condensation line leak and replaced the floors with all new tile throughout all the bedrooms, hallway, dining and living room.

Interior: new concrete garage floor, refurbished wood floors, paint, gutted bathrooms/kitchen, added bathroom shower, doubled all BR closet space, removed kitchen walls for open concept w/ dining/living rooms, added cabinets, new appliances, tile floor/back splash, installed dining room french doors onto a new deck w/ refurbished original stone patio.

That is a much more elegant method!

Put them all at the dining room table, have them help each other, have them shout for an adult if they can't figure something out.  

However, if you were to find something to complain about it would be the 900 sq ft. and the lack of space in the living/dining room.

Everywhere else in my house - bedrooms, bathroom, living room, dining room is fine. 

We were able to open up the wall section between the kitchen and dining room.
