In general, Kansas is more of a bedroom community and Missouri has arts, culture, and dense urban areas.

Plus a “Service” oriented community which is very different from other countries.  

It's also unlikely that you can convert a single-family home into a community center (not sure if you mean an actual community center or co-living space).
