You do not want to get in and find yourself upside down and looking for a way to make the bleeding stop. 

It's an unfortunate situation to be in, but the sooner you stop the bleeding the better.

I will point out that managing short-term rentals is significantly different than long-term rentals, so a lot of it will not bleed over.  

If you are fairly local (within 2 hours) it should be easy to self manageAnd finally, repairs happen but usually it’s one time per fix and even if a slight bleed this month you will make it up over the long term.

so either take the short term hit now.. or slow bleed out at 400 a month but but it could continue to appreciate to where you break even.. time solves a lot of bad real estate moves.PS we have all been there in the house flipping game everyone of us if we are being honest and have done more than a few deals

As an investor cash flow is key, you cannot be bleeding cash for two months while your property is sitting vacant.

The valve on the very top looks like a valve to bleed the air and I don't believe that valve is necessary since any air in the system can be bled through another location including at the boiler.Cut the 3/4 inch horizontal copper pipe and start with a Sharkbite at that location, eliminate the bleed-off valve, or install a Sharkbite tee for a new valve and get a fitting to reduce the the 1/2 inch PEX.

My hand swelled up and went to the emergency room because I was worried and the doctors called me a sissy and said there was no way my hand could swell that much in one day from a dog bite.
