Here’s the bottom line:  Long term success as a real estate investor or real estate business owner requires knowledge of (1) real estate principles (2) real estate finance and (3) real estate law.  

I think there's still a lot of room in the country to do this successfully and where the locals can also benefit.

Based on my experience, the key to success is screening for good tenants and managing them well. 

I had a pretty successful career doing that and made good money but, it was not my passion, I love real estate and everything about it the good and the bad.

The success rate will hinge largely on location, type of property, and cost of property.

Correct, it’s a long process with no guarantee of success.
