Can anyone in the Spokane area recommend a Lead Based Paint certified painter and/or contractor?

They are not supposed  to recommend but usually they will give you a few names.2) Ask some painters if they recommend anyone.  

My painter recommended a guy who came out today.  

:P But he got rave reviews from the realtor and other homebuyer, which is primarily what I care about.(1) life gives you lemons, make lemonade... this is also how I found my plumbing dude, my painter, etc - the real estate gods ensure that if I've got a plumber in escrow, someone else in escrow is going to need a plumber, and so on.

At age 19 i got my first real job as an industrial painter.

I was fortunate to inherit some of our workers--painters and handyman when we purchase some apartments.

Others I have on mine are my plumber, electrician, painter, handyman, 1031 intermediary, general contractor and landscape contractor.

Same with roofer, car mechanic, carpet installer, painter, etc.

We ended going over budget by about $5k due to unexpected issues with painter and concrete contractors but the asking price is higher than we had planned.

Does anyone execute formal written contracts with subs?  Or is it just one persons word?
