New to Renting Space - How to manage and continue Contracting

Hi everyone,

As a newbie in the renting space. I just got recommended to come to this forum.

My uncle has a couple of flats that he wants to rent out. The flats kind of need some renovation. We are trying to figure out how to go about contracting (because we don't know how to do that ourselves). What kinds of things we should consider to make an investment? Where shall we look for contractors and how do we ensure that we are making a good long term investment if we need to get done some repair work in the future as well?

Thanks a lot :)
