It isn't a loophole, it is just the tax law.

I have learned a lot about the process from listening to BP podcast and other sources, but I still don't know about Oregon's specific laws surrounding wholesaling.

California I believe can make it happen but the capital needed and rental laws make things a little more challenging

I expect rents to go up a lot because less and less Americans can afford a house over time plus folks are far more mobile now so they may be inclined to rent vs buy.

Although I am not a legal expert and am not familiar with Michigan state laws, I think a partition could be helpful if it leads to pleading your case in front of a judge who can ultimately decide.

The beauty of CA is the lenient ADU laws, the downside is the the entry point to get in. 

I am inclined to this option as it would allow me to return home to assist my parents and save money while pursuing my law degree.- Does anyone think this is a sound idea?
