Giving money to the government is like giving money to a church, it is hardly ever handled correctly, morally or ethically.

Completely by accident, I started a fairly interesting conversation about moral hazard, principal balance reduction, and mortgage payment incentives on Facebook.Is there any easy way to "upload" the discussion on to BP, or am I stuck with simply my FB friends to debate the issue?

It would seem that the two sides have such a different core of beliefs and morals that it would be hard to compromise these values in order to work together.The speech Rush gave yesterday touched on this subject, and I felt he did a great job showing how impossible of a goal it is.

So instead of them eating cat food and working 3 jobs, we all get too........I know you can state the moral issue/hazard of rewriting the securities down to today's asset values.

It's morally wrong.

We are truly f___ed if we need Jon Stewart as the face of moral hazard in our country.

Really Matthew, just giving out some of the opposing views that are backed up by law, which I do think would be classified as substantial.But my reccomendation is to get the liscesce as the downturn continues people will look to politicians to get relief from their poor decisions and this will require that you can prove that you have held yourself to those high moral standards.

I'm not trying to make a moral judgement here, just further exploring the issue.
