I was told I had to use the property as my primary residence (stay there more than 6 months a year), then I can run a STR as accessory and that applies to the entire city, not just residential zoning. and since I don't, I am in violation, and I have to cease the operation in a month.

I don't work on that.You need to get very specific on what asset class in commercial and price point and if buying yourself directly or trying to use a syndicate or group. 100% transparency is key.Most commercial brokers at that top of their fields are making millions per year or more of income and covet their time.
