Due to my background in consumer lending, I am highly skeptical of paystubs and other address verification due to the widely available websites that are out there to generate forms relatively easily... so I like to verify the information by contacting the listed employer using their listed number on Google to avoid possibly calling a friend etc. 

Also, you are able to purchase upto 100 mile radius from your job site.

@Alexander Phillipslike the others i am struggling because while i sympathize with you, none of this is really adding up...i'm also worried about what you putting "full trust" in your mentor means.sounds like you need to print a copy of your contract out, read it, get out to the site in person, and sort this out.

Broke down the doors and stole all of my mechanicals + material on-site (resulting in ~$30K worth of damage)I just had a contractor walkthrough and talk to neighbors and apparently there is now a homeless man who has been sleeping upstairs (he wasn't present, however bedding was present).

An important point is that if you didn't do the renovation or weren't on site checking frequently as the property was renovated, you never know how good the repairs done were by the seller or previous owners (this requires a good bit of construction knowledge).  

These loans typically don't require the same strict income verification as conventional loans, and they focus more on your assets and property income.
