Once you meet other local investors, you can find trusted hard money lenders through them. 

I don't trust myself when it comes to filing my own taxes with my rentals.

Its easier to trust a Guru who preaches great returns than to buy something that doesn't have as good returns in your backyard. many people will follow where they are told the easiest way to make money is its human nature.

Just make sure you’ve got a backup in place for any unexpected expenses that might pop up—trust me, they can happen.

Prioritize it, do thorough inspections, and trust your gut.
