Yep, too bad many people these days demand and vote for BIG goverment politicians and policies that require BIG taxes.

I think it has been much more geographically segmented, more of a 'big city' thing and further fueled by politicians and activists; but I am looking forward hearing what to what others have to say.

NH is a swing state so having a big example of something like a rail station would be a big win for a politician to stand on and say look what I did for you. so look for proximity to the rail station what might not be desirable today could be VERY desirable if you can walk across the bridge and get to a rail station quickly!

I am living here and I think it would be easier for me to know/research market to enter.My comments have nothing to do with the assets or returns, and everything to do with the politics and politicians of the state and city. 

Then again, we have some money hungry politicians locally who just love finding ways and reasons to keep raising our property taxes.The other way, as has been highlighted in other threads, is buying 30%+ below market to keep the costs and the payments at lower level where they can be comfortably covered with rents.Happy baragain hunting!

The "cool" of inner-city life is done, kinda funny how lawlessness, riots and loosing 50% police force does that huh, whod-a-thunk-it..... oh yeah, that's right, EVERYONE except politicians....Strong migration trend in action of people and business leaving the inner-metro-ring too the outer-metro-ring.

In fact, there are plenty of politicians who know the laws and do the same by owning real estate; and that's why I believe these laws will not change anytime soon, so investing will provide them, us, and anyone else tax incentives. 

In order to get out of this financial mess working class people would need to patient while politicians, bureaucrats, and the financial engineers untangle and deconstunct easy money and all the inequity it has brought. 

People have a mindset, often instilled in them through family, friends, media, and politicians, that says they're incapable of achieving more.

While many fear missed rent payments due to government policy, we must remember that politician's main goal is usually to get re-elected.
