Hello,I am working on getting started with wholesaling and do not mind working with another serious wholesaler of interest.I connected with an agent on Biggerpockets who claimed to be investor-friendly and knew the wholesale strategies but I think I scared them away when I requested a written agreement to get started.I do not understand why people in the wholesale industry like to talk about working together instead of working with a written agreement. 

They certainly display an impressive track record and have a deep bench when it comes to industry experience.

Just make them nice and median-priced to find the sweet spot in the current market.

To be honest we have fixed some things on the spot without a written request when we had time but other times just said, send a request.   

Most areas we have found that are hot spots have some sort of quasi "local" booking entity, we try to belong to them as well if they are credible.As in anything with being in business almost 25 years, the better your relationships the better the response, this is no different.

Most friends in the industry were telling me to keep it bc of the interest rate… so I sold it.

Victor’s point on inventory is spot on.  

If you’re looking to invest in your backyard, it helps to network with as many locals in the industry as you can.

I received wrong information from people in the Portugal RE industry before so I'm not super confident the person I talked to is correct I'm just trying to get more data points.In case it's useful for others these are some other bits of info I've learnedRefinancing is possible but it is more expensive than conventional (usually the spread is 1-2% higher) and it is necessary to explain to the bank what will be done with the money.It is not necessary to wait to own the property for a certain time to obtain mortgage credit.
