Long time reader, my wife and I are looking to move to Minneapolis spring 2017 and house hack a duplex, hopefully doing some smaller renovations along the way and hoping to have the option to sell in 2-3 years or keep as a long term investment.

Have some money left over for a downpayment looking to strike before the paperwork is processed at Hennepin County and secure some funds for a place to live near or in Down Town Minneapolis. 

We're currently working on acquiring our second investment property, looking for anything from duplex to quads, prefer Minneapolis but would consider St Paul or else ware.
