Purchase a lightweight power bank or mobile battery pack and try to keep it charged so you can take advantage of it when you're out and about.

Light weight cold steel is the best option.

These are very light weight, pack easy and have awesome caloric quantity vs. their volume they take up.

For footprint design/redesign I use Chief Architecture Design Suite, which will run on pretty much anything with Windows 10 (I have a super lightweight Toshiba laptop for that purpose).

Personally, I'd wait until something more lightweight came along.
