Unfortunately, as part of a gesture of customer service, you inadvertently showed your tenant that you are willing to pay when "stuff happens" without following up to see which party is responsible.

The gesture was taken well by the resident but it was also self serving to protect the property too.Just as it goes with many post in here, there are some gray areas and a lot of moving parts.
