This was done to protect senior citizens on fixed incomes from being forced to sell their homes due to unaffordable property tax increases.Since the passing of this amendment, all properties in Michigan have two property tax values associated with them:State Equalized Value (SEV): supposedly equal to 50% of the market value of a property, not based on recent sales price.Taxable Value: the SEV annually capped as long as there is not a transfer of ownership.City Assessors are charged with determining how much property values have changed each year.

@Fiona HumphreyJust make sure the property cashflows if the owner of the business dies and you're forced to rent to a normal everyday tenant.

Also, when your rehab costs are more than 50% of your property value, you leave yourself no room for forced appreciation.

You are prepared to walk away from a deal.Not going to give you the answer (maybe if you were Army or Air Force) LOL, but here is the approach. 

They have forced me to find a lawyer in Florida in order to get a judgement against them. 

The cancel function is not working and I was forced to pay over 400 for service I did not want.There is no customer service number to call.
