Old diverter cylinders are fraught with corrosion & can be tough to replace after the fact & you can damage the diverter removing it.

Focus on what you would like to do and fire away at that on all cylinders.

This runs about $25.Also check if your area allows double cylinder deadbolt locks (the kind that requires a key to open on both sides).
