I know a few that play the stock market or split a clinic but no real estate investors yet.

My husband will be working for his Portland firm remotely (many of his clients are in the Boise area) and I am planning on taking a step back from clinical social work and attaining my real estate licence.After doing a lot of research on BP, I thought it would be a great idea to buy a multifamily property and house hack.

I was told Mayo Clinic is the largest employer there but I hope there are other corporations there as well.

Unfortunately our rural towns have been dying since the 50s/60s - which is sad as there are lots of cool and fascinating places - but it all happens slowly - first a large employer leaves, or maybe there's a farming crisis, tax revenue decreases, then folks with younger kids move away or the younger kids grow up then they immediately leave then never come back, then the schools start to die, then the schools close, then no one wants to live there, then the local hospitals or clinics lose fed or state funds then they close, their workers leave etc. 

Quick update: we made an offer on Fairfield property & the offer is basically dead (at the moment), seller is refusing to drop below $360k ($5k below current ask), so I'll circle back in a few weeks to see if they've decided to finally get with the program and sell (vs getting foreclosed).Came across another very compelling unit, but there are already 6 offers (of which at least 1 is full ask), so not likely to be able to get that one.Working on getting our home on the market (we're delaying till 3rd week in May when our daughter finds out if she will be doing clinical rotations in Philly area hospitals - she's finishing up 2nd year medical school). 

They tried the medical expense route and I told them it's not our responsibility to pay their medical bills.I had a law student from a legal clinic call and I just told him I had nothing to discuss with him.

The cap rate is the way that investors can compare opportunities in a clinical way. 

I do also enjoy the amenities around me such as downtown, Little Italy, Uni Circle, Cle Clinic, etc.

Bob, who is a jack of all trades, is a deacon, owns an ostrich farm and has started a few clinical research labs in his life, also owns some rental properties.

This is clinical insanity.
