My wife opened a preschool that is growing and makes a little money there, but it only opened this past school year.

id like to keep monthly payments around 1350-1500 for now, if possible, but this time next year ill be able to afford a bit  more due to my kid starting kindergarten which means no more $400/mo pre school expense (phew!).

2013: Closed on a 38 unit mixed use property (Apartments/preschool/offices) at the end of the year.2014: Closed on 2nd syndicated apartment (48 unit that required some rehab), 60 unit outside of the IRA and 10/31/14 going to close on a 28 unit to be owned by the SDIRA.2015: Not sure yet but hope to get a 3rd syndicated apartment 

We own our house and have built up some equity in it and since I am fortunate enough to be able to stay at home with our 2 little ones, I figured I should spend nap times/preschool time investing our money (real estate) but I have very little idea how to do it. 

They were brought here by their parents from South Korea when they were pre-school age.

@Jon Huber Exactly I grew up in Boca Raton and went to preschool, middle school and high school there.

In addition to these concerns, the implementation of new taxes for initiatives like 'Preschool for All' and 'Metro Supportive Homeless Services' has pushed Portland into one of the top three highest tax rates in the United States.

She's a pre-school teacher and asst. director at the Goddard School.  

In relation to your son going off to college, both my boys are pre-school age so making a move now does not require much strain in the changing schools and making new friends aspect.

I guess Real Estate investing 101 is too advanced for me, maybe I need Real Estate for preschoolers!
