A lot of insurance companies are redlining, they just wont admit it.I have had problems with insurance companies picking up trivial things to complain about in poorer neighborhoods, while ignoring the exact same things in higher end neighborhoods.

We also already have tenants so arent rushing anyone in to avoid vacancy.My, admittedly, ignorant question is, can i purchase her condo, which is in her (maiden) name, myself?

As the other posts have said, I would either try and get him listed as an occupant on the lease or just ignore it if she's a good tenant!
