What caught my eye in reading your post was your statement about the customer causing problems for the contractor.

The one thing that may cause a problem is lenders not taking the short term rental income if it has not yet been stated on your taxes.

In a high-crime area, you will attract low-quality renters who are more likely to cause problems.

This is all just Political BS to hide the REAL cause which is INFLATION and inflations impact on expenses.

In chats the representatives copy and paste scripted responses that just causes you to go round and round with no real resolution.

We have had some losses taken by insurers causing reinsurance contracts to be renegotiated much higher rates than previous years and the state has approved price increases on admitted markets.

Plus i have had some health issues which has caused me to work a lot less.

Too many people jumped in to the STR market when it was near its peak in 2021-2022 causing many places to be saturated.  

This requires an income that rises faster than inflation, or you will not have the additional dollars you will need to pay future inflated prices.What causes rents (and prices) to increase?
