They may attack the validity of the lease and those issues are stated.HUD regulations apply to lease terminations when housing is subsidized.A lease survives a purchase, except when a buyer purchases a property as an owner occupied home and 30 days may be given or a lease may be brokern with 30 days when an onwer has for any reason lost their primary home and has to take the property for their residence.....all state by state determinations, but you may have such exceptions.There are also other covenants in a lease other than just paying rents and if there are other significant covenants broken a lease may be terminated.

Bill Gulley I don't think selling now will work, but he is exploring that idea, the problem is that this has been officially announced and ground is being broken within the week, so the damage is done I think.I am thinking it might be better to wait and see if there is any expansion or subdivision plans for tribe members or whatever that may buy the neighborhood and that would be the best bet.Of course if the traffic, noise and crime gets out of hand, it may be a different story.

Understand that insurance is designed to insure catastrophe, but has evolved to the point that we expect to be insured for leaky faucets (ok, I'm over exaggerating here)The question to ask yourself is: would I have to put in a claim to replace damage caused by a falling tree or a broken washing machine hose if the damage was, say, $2500.

The out of town company did a very good job of putting down a 2 inch overlay, hauled away all of the broken, junky-looking, cement parking blocks and put in all new parking blocks.
