I recently passed the real estate license exam (Texas) in February and I am currently interviewing brokers , I have narrowed down to Coldwell bankers and a boutique firm ( Legacy Homes & Properties ).

Right now my focus is on developing boutique hotels and delivering a unique experience for travels who visit Portland. 

You should find out who the players are in office leasing in your area (specifically the type you have i.e. small boutique, medical arts, large single tenant, ect) and set up meetings with them.

I started out at boutique office and then moved to The Group thanks to Robert Jones being on the podcast.

This is even more true now that they’ve pivoted into designer properties, which is basically just a fast-follow to what Hilton and Marriott have been doing in allowing smaller boutique hotels/brands to book off their main sites, without the rest of us even knowing it’s not a Hilton or Marriott property. 

I am starting to wonder if some boutique companies are out there offering subservicing services, but I haven't found them yet. 

It was a great episode, I'm curious to see how this impacts things in the market place, hopefully there will be some larger over-levered hedge fund backed companies that get kicked in the teeth and the smaller boutique operators can pick em up and actually run them well. 

Planning to document the whole thing for best practices and future marketing of development/boutique turn-key sales of similar properties in the area.

You probably already know, but having your license at a brokerage costs money, and one boutique place I was looking at only let you do it for yourself if you also sold other homes.
