You have to see past the cabinets and sheetrock and visualize what problems you may encounter in the walls or floors.

For example, when you have flooring, tile, cabinets delivered to the house, they are personal property.

Cabinets, appliances, fixtures, flooring, Plumbing, electrical, supply, etc..

You might spend on quality cabinets instead of the cheaper ones that will disintegrate in a couple years.

The inspectors gonna say yep the cabinets function and no water damage under the sink.

That doesn't necessarily mean the level of finishes - flooring, cabinets, countertops, fixtures, etc - will be same as your own home or your other apartments.  

I wish my foundation was as solid as the advice here :D  I don't think bringing the house to level is a good idea because I'm going to start cracking drywall, changing cabinets and countertops, etc etc.
