This created all sorts of headaches as the guy that rented my place had scheduled movers, couldn't extend the lease where he was even for a week...etc.My contractors endedup doing a 24 hour marathon session to finish the place.

One tenant from another property, we paid for his moving cost twice, because half of his stuff weren't packed on the day of his move, so we had to get the movers come back a second time, and offered to pay half of his security deposit as well, and added an extra $1000 incentive on top of all this if he can move by the end of February, instead of beginning of March.

Tough one, I have no experience with anything even remotely connected to this situation but if you contact the daughter I would recommend presenting it from the angle that she is/was a wonderful tenant and you want to insure the security of her mothers possessions while the property is vacant Etc. ask how you can "help out" maybe suggest local resources (movers, self storage) Good Luck,

The key is to advertise 2 months ahead of the vacancy, if possible, to insure you have plenty of time and you get tenants that are not in a rush to move (red flag).
