I E 40 to 70 bucks a foot to buy one.. can't barely build them for that including land and soft and hard costs.

If you have a relationship with a title company you could maybe have them do a soft search and see if there's a bunch of seconds listed.

Other items to look at include: hot water heater, plumbing, electrical, roof, siding, and the sub floor (look for soft spots).Hope that helps!

If not, it sounds like the house was simply built with a soft floor and the sponginess has always existed.
