I used aluminum from home depot for the edges where I had to make the cut, and then I fabricated two pieces of wood to cover the gap where the old cabinet used to be.

I ran a quad in the back of my truck for a decade when I was in the timber business.. and having the back of the truck slant down like that is very nice and a big safety feature.. also the cover is bed cover is metal not fabric big difference..
