As an aside, any judgment against the driver was worthless, so the goal at trial was to downplay the driver's responsibility and put as much on the entity.I don't think the fact that there was an LLC would have changed anything.

If your goal is to maximize your Cash-On-Cash returns by acquiring low cost properties in C areas while doing as much as you can to mitigate the trials and tribulations of high turnover, crime, and unreliable property management, then you should probably start elsewhere.If you don't know which of these strategies (or which strategy in-between these two) is the one you want to utilize, then the only thing that is clear is that both of these (and all other) markets are wrong for you.

I for one am not going to be sticking my head in the sand on this topic, too risky to not understand the new laws and how they are going to affect us.It seems like there are good options out there for existing servicers but like anything else it will take trial and error to find a good loan servicer for each investor.

I have been in civil hearings before a judge and I have even gone to trial on civil matters, but not once was a judgement against me, my partners or any firm I ran been rendered.The ultimate fact is if the ethic mix of those living in your rentals is roughly equivalent to the ethic mix of the population in the area and you are not doing anything to try to steer that mix one way or another, an illegal discrimination claim based on skin color would be very hard to prove.
