Hi FriendsIs it still worth buying str investment properties in San Antonio and/or other San Antonio suburban cities? 

I'm located in the SF Bay Area in San Jose, so if there's anyone I can buy a coffee in exchange for some of your time, I'd be more than happy to connect.Lastly, I don't think I'll be ready to start seriously looking for a first investment for a few months, so the question is, when is the right time to start talking to people like real estate agents, brokers, lenders etc.?

The challenge for me is that I live in San Diego CA and the market is expensive and I compete with owner-occupiers who will pay top dollar.

Probably just meAnd when you do have that tenant issue, that then chews up 100hrs of your life in a matter of weeks, and your flipping out over how insane everything is happening, that is when you will say "OMG F-this, someone else can deal with this". 25% of what a property manager does is PREVENTION and PREPERATIONS for things going bad. 25% is knowing all the things, ALL THE THINGS.

In San Diego, they recently applied STR quotas.
