I just found out that the city council in my little town of 3k people is having a meeting tomorrow to make landlord registration mandatory and implement inspections.

Which city council there was it that 3 people decided to abolish the police, but not before they voted in 1.6 mil a year private armed guards for themselves and their families?

I've pushed through it however and as Eric mentions people have pushed through in Chicago as there are projects that have been completed.Also the point on classification of the structure, this may also be an areas that can be resolved with education of the council/bank/others that you are talking to.

There is another company appearing before the council regularly for an attempt to get a permit for a $300 Million dollar housing complex.

The lawsuit was filed in response to the California Judicial Council’s declaration that courts would not consider eviction cases for the duration of Gov.

They recommend to the city council for approval.  

At a minimum, I would reach out to the city council/village board and share your concerns.

Our idiotic city council will undoubtedly continue to retard growth, fail to plan for the inevitable, and blow resources on identity politics matters instead of what they truly should be investing time, money, and energy working on.
