Finally after moving around after college for jobs and then paying for a wedding I am ready to make the plunge.

We have to save for a car for her before winter, and we also have to pay for a wedding. 

Was driving up to a wedding in Danvers, MA yesterday and my fiance told me she was searching for a real estate podcast to listen to, found biggerpockets.com, and here I am less than 24 hours later.

There is a 10 week, 3 hr. once per week bathroom remodeling workshop starting Wed.

And, I've just purchased my first student rental -- closes this Wed.  

Is it better for us to be wed, or can we do it before nuptials? 

Hello all -- after a decade of noodling on the topic and building up a general but abstract concept of real estate investing, I've now set a goal to buy at least one investment property (thinking buy & hold, 2/3/4-plex) by my wedding date -- that's six months time.

I was thinking maybe Wed December 14th 2016 somewhere near the square.  

I found out for an unmarried young couple I was renting to, that the woman had just broken up with a fiancé a month before...they had a wedding date planned and everything.

It took forever but in fairness to ourselves, we did also buy and renovate two duplexes (cash out refi'd one of the two so far), drove to FL to pack and move my mom back to OH, went to CA for a wedding, camped in Maine for two weeks, trudged through the holidays, and...suffice it to say, we weren't idle.
