I just acquired one from a PM where they were charging a tenant a resident benefit package and a building protection plan.  

I was going to wait to build my portfolio bigger before starting an numbered company, but I'd like to hear what the BP community has to offer in words of advice.Here are the current numbers I'm working with.

.- Build a fourplex with contractor buddy hopefully have approval wrapped up and swinging hammers in January.- Start building an ADU on a rental this coming October 1st (hopefully done in 3-4 months).- Buy one local STR probably with a my partner.- Buy one lot in area I can start building a duplex or fourplex on.  

If you like stocks and don't have a lot of interest in building a portfolio in MN there's no point in keeping.

In Reno and metro areas, insurance companies primarily focus on roofs, the age of the building, wiring updates, and water pipes, as mentioned @Cameron Moore.

My love affair with real estate derived from my late mom who had a passion for buying real estate to build wealth.

I would like to pull out equity from the homes to build either a house on each or an ADU (they are zoned multi-family) depending what makes the most sense on returns and what is feasible.
