Singapore or Australia where property values are rising.

I'm only new here and live in Australia.

I'm planning to take my wife to Australia and New Zealand this year.

Occasionally, I still get wasted clicks: most recently I had a "sell my house in Australia" click - I hadn't thought to block other countries!  

The one place I have not visited but find it intriguing is Australia would like to spend 30 days there with different stops thru-out The kids 1 boy 1 girl never lacked for anything ,Yet they never really wanted much .

i've lived in Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, and I am thankful for the United States of America, her armed forces, for liberties and privileges and rights unique to the entire world I am thankful for my mother who is in heaven who  is always with me I am thankful for my father who busted his *** to send five kids to private schools and undergraduate colleges, and for his orthopedic practice then helped tens of thousands of peopleI am thankful for my first mentor Glenn Craven, I did hundreds of deals with him and  received little financial gain but immense intellectual, financial, tax, regulation gain, I would not of started my first business without himAnd to this BP board I'm grateful for all the wonderful posters they give unselfishly their time, caring greatly to help new people and experienced alike find success in real estate investing I am thankful for my wife and my two children and I'm also immensely thankful for the ability to coach Lacrosse from ages 5 to 15, a privilege I would gladly pay to performThanks Bill for starting this thread.Happy Thanksgiving to all BP family@Bill Gulley

Agreed,Lot's of deals to be found in Ohio.Tougher nowadays but still enough to stay busy.Just to answer the OP's initial question also.Loosing on a deal in the first few years is risky business.When I first started investing in 2010 and back home in Australia, I built a large portfolio and fairly quickly.Lot's of debt...Monthly mortgages where costing me more than I was generating in income.It was a slow bleed so I decided to liquidate and move to cashflow friendly markets in the US (Specifically Ohio).In hindsight, those same properties if owned today would have made me millions in capital gain profits.So if you are looking for an appreciation play, make sure to have enough income from your W2 or other means to withstand the slow monthly bleed until the properties appreciate so much that you end up being in the green even tho you bled monthly.Again, very risky business IMO.Much success
