Best value at selling is to remove the JADU due to poor auction the result of mostly needing a house hacker   In addition, if you already have a regularSDU (which would be primary reason to add JADU over an ADU), the property by rule does not qualify for conventional financing.

We added $40K-$50K refinishing the hardwood floors, removing wallpaper, painting walls and updating the kitchen & bathroom with new cabinets, adding granite countertops and creating a BEAUTIFUL dining room off the kitchen that was wasted space as an enclosed porch, and also added french doors leading out to a newly-built pre-finished deck we added so the new owners could enjoy their gorgeous fenced in backyard.

And the apartment is an upper that's definitely tough to move into, so the furniture transfer does have some benefits (saves a lot of banging around/removing of doors from hinges/etc.).
