I think it is not intentional that they don't tell you they never married, or one or the other had children from previous marriages, there was or wasn't a will....that's why title company is important.   

It would seem to be a shame to ruin your relationship with him and a marriage to boot for a total misunderstanding.

@Brian Langstrom I am going to go out on a limb and assume you don't want to keep them in the LLC owned by both of you all after the divorce (which would be possible just problematic) Depending on your state laws it may not matter how it was titled if it was acquired during the marriage, and thus you could put solely under your name, but the lawyers can say it was while married so you have to split it or buy the other person out.

No need to rush but start looking.This is time u won’t get back, and will be aDecision about your marriage and the type of father you want to be.

Supplemental information is that I have a child from a prior marriage that lives here in town with their mother and I do not want to relocate away from them for at least a few years as they grow up.
