1031 exchange from my name to myself and wife

Good morning,

I have a 1031 exchange question I was hoping to get some insight on.

I plan to sell a property I own by myself (purchased before marriage) and 1031 it into 2 new properties that will both be in the name of myself and my wife.

My question is can I do this or does my wife need to be on title on my first home before the sale?

Thanks in advance for any help.

David
