This can cause issues with the re-installation as there may not be framing next to the window until after the weight pockets which could cause you to upsize the window leading to interior and exterior trim replacement as well as possible code enforcement issues as they may look at this as a change to the structure and require a structural inspection, even though you're still within the existing framing rough opening.

Your city should have enforcement rules that require him to maintain his property in a manner that prevents damage to your property.If the city doesn't help, then you can try paying for it yourself and sending him the bill.

@Rick PozosNot everyone follows the rules when STR'S are banned and sometimes existing ones have a period of time to shutdown.If not enforced some people will run the risk till penalties or worse are enacted.

The enforcement is not even handed in all cases but it is always illegal to put out signs and you could be charged fines or left completely alone.The signs may serve your business needs but the people who live in the area probably think it's noise/garbage.
