A handful will be at top of feeding chain on it all, W.S. will broker tax credit sales so it get's there endorsement, and costs stay ridiculous with no real change because we made things "affordable" via other payer.

Another possibility is if it is a code requirement and you have that endorsement on the policy.

There are (at least in Texas) a few carriers that will have a base HO policy that will actually have a room renters endorsement where you will only need that one policy.

In my experience, you need a Homeowners policy with an endorsement to cover renting the other side of the unit.

If it doesn't, I'd contact the underwriter and demand an endorsement deleting the exception and coverage for the problem.
